“Who is this G_D we serve”? Part II (Prior - Part 1 "Who is this G_D we serve?")
When Moses (Moshe) Spoke with G_D face to face..
”Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”” (Exodus 33:21-22)
Then Moses spoke directly with G_D and perceived G_D’s Chesed nature (חֶסֶד) (Lovingkindness, Unfailing Mercy, Thorough Compassion, in His Strength, and overwhelming Awesomeness). He, Moshe saw these characteristics of the Lord through His “Emet” ואמת” nature, that is through the Lord G_D King of the Universe’s Truth and Faithfulness.
Imagine it, the All Powerful, All Knowing, All Everything King of the Universe is imbued with Truth and Faithfulness (Emet) through which He express His Lovingkindness, tendermercy, Compassion and Strength (Chesed).
The Pure Truthfulness, Pure Faithfulness of who G_D the Father is, as expressed in Mercy and Grace to a flawed humankind. Yet there is even more about this G_D we serve that further develops our understanding of “Who this G_D we serve is”.
Moshe (Moses) saw G_D face to face, and grappled with comprehending the Infinite Living G_D. He then did his best to communicate the experience and understanding, firsthand understanding, for us to be able to know the true character and nature of the G_D we serve (given our limitations).
Can you imagine this infinite being passing by and you with your background and your personal education, no matter how small or great, trying to first, understand, then to attempt to put into words and communicate such an experience?
It is obvious that G_D, the sum, the beginning and end, wants us to know Him as far as we are able. Yes G_D wants us to know Him, has given us what we can bare to know Him intimately. He nourishes us to grow through our knowledge of Him and continually seek Him - continually follow Him so that in our seeking we become more and more intimate with Him. Closer to and more in tuned with the One True Living G_D.
"To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning And Your faithfulness by night" (Psalm 92:2)
“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:31-32 NASB)
