Aeta Children’s Home, Philippines
Wilson and Cora Ladringan
On June 15, 1991, Mount Pinatubo, Philippines, erupted and nearly 20 million tons of sulfur dioxide were injected into the stratosphere, and the dispersal of this gas cloud around the world caused global temperatures to drop temporarily (1991 through 1993) by about 1°F (0.5°C). The eruptions have dramatically changed the face of central Luzon, home to about 3 million people. About 20,000 indigenous Aeta highlanders, who had lived on the slopes of the volcano, were completely displaced, and most still wait in resettlement camps for the day when they can return home. About 200,000 people who evacuated from the lowlands surrounding Pinatubo before and during the eruptions have returned home but face continuing threats from lahars that have already buried numerous towns and villages. Rice paddies and sugar-cane fields that have not been buried by lahars have recovered; those buried by lahars will be out of use for years to come.
Continuing to restore the lives of children amid the aftermath is the Aeta Children’s Home.

Felix Family Village Thailand
Felix Family Village Thailand consists of 10 houses in Surat Thani, Thailand, with “house parents” that form a family with orphans in Thailand. The Thailand village came into being after the tsunami a few years ago that killed so many. The Romanians felt a calling and checked into the needs, then began finding Christian couples interested in starting a program like Romania which began 20+ years ago. We, as a church, began supporting them in late 2015.

Larry and Isabel Herzekow, Israel
Larry and Isabel Herzekow are part of Shepherd’s Staff Mission Facilitators and serve in Jerusalem, Israel. We, as a church, began supporting them early in 2016. Their ministry is called Beit Rachamim-House Of Compassion and they host short-term mission trips to Israel. They also distribute clothing to holocaust victims and needy folks, provide meals on the Sabbath to needy, do community improvement projects and generally share the love of Yeshua the Messiah with Jewish immigrants to Israel.
They are full-time missionaries to Israel that have been sent out from Calvary Chapel Aurora, in Colorado. We are Jewish and hold dual citizenship in the US and Israel. Our personal journey with Yeshua (Jesus) began in 1984 for Larry and in 1987 for Bess. We originally made Aliyah (the calling back to The Promised Land that the Lord has put in the heart of Jews) to Israel in 1996 .
You can find more details about Larry and Bess at their website at beitrachamim.org.
